Vampires, Werewolves, Succubus. OH MY!

Can you say HOOKED? The new ABC summer show “The Gates” is everything I needed and more. The increased popularity of vampire/werewolf movies and series has taken over the American airwaves and we love it. With hits such as HBO’s “True Blood” and the CW’s “Vampire Diaries”, it was only a matter of time before another network picked up on this trend; and oh what a great job ABC did in its quest for ratings. “The Gates” is a gated community full of so many secrets you don’t know who is who. Vampires, werewolves, witches, and even a succubus (google it) are included in the storyline. Writers keep you on the edge of your seat every week. To all my Twilight fans, I strongly suggest you check out “The Gates” on ABC, every Sunday at 10pm. I promise you, it’s worth it.

SideNote: I’ve been on vampires since Brad Pitt’s and Tom Cruise’s “Interview with A Vampire”. POW!!!!

The Avengers

The anticipation is over folks, Marvel has unveiled the cast of The Avengers, and surprisingly; the old guys did a good job. Full of A-List actors, this movie may be better than pegged. Directed by Joss Whedon, let’s pray this movie is not full of pointless comedy and inflated egos. I’m not really much of an Avengers kind of girl, but who doesn’t love a good superhero movie.

Now all I need is for DC Comics to get it together with this Justice League movie and I’ll be good. Batman sure does cook my grits. =)

Reading is FUNdaMENTAL

My latest excitement has stemmed from one source, a book. Have you ever had one of those books that are so engrossing you just can’t seem to put them down? That book was “The Real Thing” by multicultural author J.J. Murray. Full of comedy and love, Murray has developed likeable characters that will take you on a journey of trust, love, goals, and did I mention LOVE? I swear I was mad at myself for reading this book too fast. LOL. I highly suggest this book if you’re looking for a good read that will put a smile on your face. Definitely adding this book to the collection, I’m already prepared to read it again. It’s just that good!

FYI: I got a thing for Italian meat now =)
